He obtained his Masters of Law in 1989 from the National University of Singapore. In 1982, Aloysius was admitted as a partner of the firm Abraham Low & Partners. He was later appointed Managing Partner of the firm in 1990. In 1987, Aloysius received his appointment as a Commissioner for Oaths, and he became a Notary Public in 1997. He is now the Managing Director of AbrahamLow LLC.
Aloysius is also an arbitrator and a Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators, and was an External Lecturer in the School of Business, Temasek Polytechnic. He is a member of the Inquiry Board of the Law Society of Singapore, as well as the Complaints Board of the Singapore Medical Council. Aloysius has over 35 years of experience in contentious litigation work and non-contentious general advisory work. His wide-ranging areas of practice include civil litigation and general advisory work, intellectual property, trust and estate matters, etc. His intellectual property practice includes registration of trademarks, patents, service marks and designs, and acting as trademark and patent agent. He has also developed a regional intellectual property practice, in acting as coordinator for the registration of intellectual property rights in the region. Aloysius is a registered Patent Agent in Singapore and is a member of the Asian Patent Attorneys Association (Singapore Group), as well as the International Trademark Association. He is known not only for his dedication to work but also for his nurturing mentoring style. He continues to draw from the wealth of experience that he has amassed in the course of his practice to guide generations of interns, pupils, colleagues and staff. |
