Jonathan is a corporate commercial lawyer, qualified to practice in Australia since 2012 and in Singapore since 2016. With a strong work ethic and excellent interpersonal skills, Jonathan adopts a pro-active, pragmatic and commercially-minded approach while mitigating his clients' legal risk and achieving results. Jonathan's academic background in accounting, finance and law coupled with private practice experience in the corporate and commercial space enables him to deliver accurate and intuitive advice under tight deadlines.
Grounded with litigation experience from private practice in Australia, Jonathan has since developed a corporate and commercial litigation practice in Singapore. As a trusted legal adviser to both SMEs and MNCs, Jonathan has managed complex cross-border transactions and advised on contentious litigation in various jurisdictions.
Jonathan graduated from the Australian National University with the following degrees: Masters of Laws (Legal Practice), Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Commerce. Whilst at university, Jonathan was invited to join the Golden Key International Honours Society; membership into the Society is by invitation only and applies to the top 15% of students. Jonathan was awarded a distinction for his thesis entitled 'An Economic Approach to the Purposes of Sentencing in New South Wales'.
